Walham Grove House

It’s difficult to manoeuvre within the period Victorian architecture imposed upon the majority of homes across Fulham. The traditional spaces can usually be carved up in one way or another internally to satisfy a more modern outlook whilst maintaining their pretty terraces.

Conceived by Icon Architects this extension to the rear of a house on Walham Grove is a refreshing example of how a little extra ingenuity can offer a new take on a prevalent problem in Fulham. The extension uses structural glazing with one large piece of glass to create a seamless transition into the landscaped garden beyond allowing the interior and exterior to appear as one entity and thus adding an extra dimension to a house originally built over 100 years ago.
