December issue of the Brik Magazine is here. Find out what's stewing in the increasingly hard to predict London property market. What will the new year 2015 bring? A rise in demand driven by the recent 'correction' or a further freezing of the market as the chill of the general election threatens to put everything on ice.

Read it here on the Brik Wall or on Issue here.

Nut Cracker
Happiness, they say, is a state of mind. With the recent price hikes, as a property owner it’s all too easy to tie your mental well-being to the increase in your capital. In much the same way as a trader religiously checks the markets every morning, us Londoner's have become obsessed with the values of our property. It’s the talk of the town, the papers and, well, this magazine. However we’ve always felt that Christmas can be the antidote to this routine, connecting us more with our families and friends and in essence what is really important.

Though essentially a nutcracker hasn’t got anything to do with the Holidays, the typical soldier nutcracker is often associated with Christmas due to the classic Christmas-ballet by E.T.A. Hoffman, in which a young girl dreams of the nutcracker she got for Christmas. Perhaps we could all benefit from allowing ourselves to dream more often about something other than the next 20% price increase in our bricks and mortar? Just a thought.
