Fraser House

Designed by Christopher Simmonds, this house's flowing spaces of the interior and the dark oak floors and cabinetry contrasting the white surfaces of this house creates a gallery-like interior. With space coming at a premium price in Fulham, making the most of it by employing a designer eye can make the difference between OK and superb. White walls, dark floors and with the absence of skirting boards can create some of the purest lines and forms. Increasingly the idea of creating a blank canvas of interconnected spaces within your home and then ‘painting it' with your own furniture is becoming a popular way of achieving. This house in Ottawa is no exception. Expect to see the designer element bleeding into Fulham as prices creep higher. Photos: © CS Architects
