17 September, 2014If you're living in a city like London, building four walls and a roof is necessary to keep the outside world out, but that's not necessarily the case if you live in the tropical Paulo coast...
The owners were keen to maximise the interaction with the environment around them and created a large open plan living space with glass walls extending around the entire ground floor. Designed by Nitsche Arquitetost, the open design of living spaces is no new concept and probably harks back to our earliest beginnings with the view from an open cave mouth, coupled with the protection of a safer sleeping area deeper within being the ideal residence.
